The Role

We are looking to appoint a resourceful Cover Supervisor to provide classroom cover in the absence of teachers.

Cover Supervisors are responsible for providing instructions and ensuring the work set by the class teacher is worked on by students, answering students' general questions and reporting back to the teacher on a range of issues. The successful candidate will enjoy working with secondary-aged students, be patient and empathetic, and be confident in leading a full class. It is an amazing opportunity and a great way of having a clear understanding of a school’s day-to-day operation if you are interested in undertaking ‘Teacher Training’ in the near future. A Cover Supervisor’s role allows you to explore a range of subjects within a school which further enhances one’s opportunities.

In return we can offer high quality in-house coaching and mentoring; access to a wide range of professional development opportunities; access to Trust networks and professional development; access to Darlington networks; a highly supportive and collaborative staff; amazing children. For further information or to discuss the post please contact Mrs Angela Sweeten, Head Teacher on 01325 380815 or by e-mail to asweeten@longfield.nalp.org.uk
