We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled and passionate Behaviour and Pastoral assistant to join our team at Longfield Academy. We are looking for a creative, adaptable and reflective practitioner who uses the latest research to support all pupil groups. You will be an integral part of the pastoral team, who will support students in the Academy to make positive choices, engage with their education and remove any barriers to learning.
You will be led by the Head of Behaviour and Welfare and be expected to fulfil various pastoral duties, including: being a proactive duty manager, engaging with student’s families and external agencies, supporting the choices manager, making telephone calls to parents/carers, supporting children to engage with their learning and break down any barriers.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills who can think logically and support children and their families. You will be expected to liaise with students, the pastoral team, teachers and parents effectively and be able to explain the rationale of our behaviour expectations to all stakeholders.
In return we can offer high quality in-house coaching and mentoring; access to a wide range of professional development opportunities; access to Trust networks and professional development; access to Darlington networks; a highly supportive and collaborative staff; amazing children.
